H. Sotheran's catalogue. A catalogue of books, consisting of upwards of twenty thousand volumes, ancient and modern, in most languages, arts, and sciences, and in every branch of polite literature; including the libraries of the late William Stables, Esq. Prothonotary of the Ecclesiastical Court at York, and of the late Humphrey Trafford, Esq. Amonst which are several very scarce and curious articles. The books in general are in good condition, chiefly the best editions, and many in elegant bindings. They will begin to be sold on Monday, August 30, 1790, at the prices printed in the catalogue, by H. Sotheran, bookseller and stationer, in St. Helen's Square, York, who gives the full value for libraries and parcels of books, exchanges, new books for old, appraises libraries, &c. *** Catalogues (price sixpence, to be allowed at purchase,) may be had of Mr. Robert Baldwin, Paternoster-Row. London, of the principal booksellers in the Kingdom, and at the palce of sale.
